This course will explore the unique history and easy-to-learn technique of the relief printmaking process with linocut block printing. Students will learn the tools, materials and techniques needed to carve and make their own prints through group demonstrations and personal instruction. Students are encouraged to draw on the long tradition of printmaking as a tool for social conscious art and design an image that inspires social change.
