An introduction to metrology, suitable for technicians, inspectors and skilled workers. Students develop an understanding of and attain skills to use in dimensional measurement.  

Students use the following: scales, micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, indicators, and production gages. Topics include, basic statistics, acceptance sampling and calibration with standards tracing. 

This is the non-credit option of EGT 109.
