Gaining a deep understanding of color is an invaluable tool for anyone. Once color mixing becomes intuitive, your mind is more open during the creative process. This class will explore color in Acrylic Paints, transparent and opaque Watercolors and Dyes. Each of the mediums will be worked in primary colors to show how these 3 colors create all other colors.

By the end of our classes together, we will combine the use of value (light and dark) to color mixing and you will understand the full spectrum of wonderful color. Each technique will be documented in a book you will compile out of your classwork to keep as a reference. Your book will also include the recipes used to make the colors.

Snow date 4/16

GCC  is proud to partner with Snow Farm: The New England Craft Program to offer these arts and craft classes to the community. Snow Farm’s extensive and professionally equipped studios are a blend of a 1700s farm and contemporary, architect-designed structures set amidst 50 acres of New England hills and pastures. Awaken and nourish the life-changing power of creativity!

Class sizes are limited and early registrations are strongly recommended. The snow date is 4/16, if needed.
