Learn about ship manifests, naturalization records, ports of entry and other clues to foreign origins.
Immigration records can lead us beyond the shores of the US in the quest for ancestors. This session will explore records from New York, Boston, and other ports of entry, as well as records being made available in European ports of embarkation. We will have access to computers to perform a search during the class and learn where images of the ships and stories of the voyages are stored.
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Spring semester class as the instructor was no longer able to teach for the dates listed in our Lifelong Learning Guide. We have scheduled another class for Thursday, 7/26, 6:30–8:30 pm. Get on our wait list to be notified when we are able to take Summer semester registrations.
